Access China



The Victorian Government Business Offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai offer facilities and export-related assistance to Victorian company representatives visiting the region.

Access China aims to assist Victorian companies to:


  • forge new relationships with Chinese partners
  • market their products more effectively
  • as appropriate, to set up an operation in China

Nature of assistance



Victorian companies planning to establish new export markets in China - and visiting Hong Kong or Shanghai to identify export opportunities in the Greater China region - may be eligible to use the Victorian Government's office facilities and services including:

  • desk space
  • computer (including broadband access)
  • local phone, printer, copier, fax
  • initial market research
  • cultural training
  • introductions and networking
  • logistical support
  • agent identification
  • product/service evaluation

Level of Assistance



Companies can use this program free of cost for the first two weeks and for a reduced rate thereafter of US$250 per month for up to three months.


Eligibility Criteria



Victorian companies wishing to use the program must receive approval from the Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development. Bookings should be made in advance.
